Republic of Artsakh
The Caucasus mountain region is embroiled in war, and the effects of the aggression on Artsakh is not limited to that population.
The Republic of Artsakh is caught in the crossfire. This small nation, effectively a protectorate of Armenia, has become subject to aggression that is causing suffering and collateral damage.
Logistical Challenges
Armenia is landlocked and in blockade by Turkey and Azerbaijan. Georgian and Iranian borders are also closed intermittently, and frankly are dangerous to travel.
The Republic of Armenia has charter flights from different countries to deliver aid, and these charter flights are being used by some of the funds to deliver aid. Aid is then delivered by Armenian military to the region. It is most sensible to use these channels for the actual aid delivery.
Our Approach to Aid
At present, the Government of Armenia has stated that they have working channels to procure and deliver aid to the region.
Based on that, the Liberland Aid Foundation has decided that the most appropriate way to deliver aid in this humanitarian crisis is to direct the raised proceeds to the conflict region via the official aid donation accounts declared by the government of Armenia. All proceeds will be forwarded via the Armenia Fund and Insurance Foundation for Servicemen.
